Aussie star Rob Whittaker takes on Yoel Romero in Chicago

Watch all of the UFC 225 fighter weigh-in from the official early morning weigh-in in Chicago.

Robert Whittaker will have to wait to defend his middleweight title after his bout against Yoel Romero was axed to a non-title fight after the challenger failed to make the weight.

It's going to be an Aussie invasion at UFC 225, with Gold Coast fighter Megan Anderson making her debut against Holly Holm, a former champion best known for knocking out Ronda Rousey in Melbourne in 2015. From the casual observer drawn in by the big name to the purist attracted to great tactical fights to the action-seeker wanting fireworks from the opening bell, the UFC has its fan base covered. Two judges scored the contest 48-47 for Whittaker, while a third had it 48-47 for Romero.

"I came for a five round fight, I travelled very far to fight", he said. "Look, if you don't make weight, you're breaching a contract straight up".

Whittaker-Romero still should be a scintillating headliner.

Romero enters the octagon as a plus-200 underdog on Saturday.

Romero (13-2), meanwhile, was sharp in his last outing on February 10, knocking out former middleweight champ Luke Rockhold with a crushing left hand.

At the time of writing, the terms of the contest are not clear but UFC President Dana White confirmed that the fight will take place while it remains to be seen whether a title will be on the line, whether it will be the main event or how many rounds it will be.

In the co-main event, Colby Covington (-130) is a narrow, nominal favorite against Rafael dos Anjos (+110) as they vie for the interim welterweight title.
