Jesse Duplantis, a televangelist with viewers across the globe, says God told him he needs a new jet.

Duplantis' appeal comes shortly after Texas televangelist Kenneth Copeland splurged on a Gulfstream V jet for $36 million, Fox News said.

The jet that Duplantis has his eyes on is the Dassault Falcon 7X, a three-engine jet that has an estimated net worth of $54 million. "Think about that for a minute".

He preaches the prosperity gospel, which says God shows favor by rewarding the faithful with earthly riches.

Televangelist Jesse Duplantis films his TV show in this photo from his Twitter account. However, he believes he needs it to reach as many people as he can.

God wants him to have that jet, says Duplantis.

The reason why Jesse Duplantis wants the $54 million jet is as astonishing as the idea of a church minister having his private ride - because it requires fewer stops for refueling.

"I really believe that if the Lord Jesus Christ was physically on the Earth today, he wouldn't be riding a donkey", Duplantis said in the video. "Yes, but I can't go in one stop".

The AFP reported that the preacher has already gone through three private lanes - "burning them up for the Lord Jesus Christ".

He's got his sights set on the Dassault Falcon 7X.

Duplantis said he then recalled something God told him in 1978.

Duplantis is the founder of the eponymous Jesse Duplantis Ministries, which has its worldwide headquarters in America, as well as branches in the United Kingdom and Australia.

"And I said, 'What do you mean?'" One person pointed to the fact that Duplantis said in the video that donating was optional.

He says he could fly cheaper because he has his own fuel farm and he can avoid refueling stops. I can't live long enough to travel by vehicle.

Copeland explained that because they are famous, they would have people coming up to them and asking for prayers.

He added: "It was one of many biggest statements the lord ever informed me - he stated 'Jesse, you wanna come up the place I am at?'"

"You just can't manage that today, in this dope-filled world", Copeland said.
