Kanye West Paid $85k for Whitney Houston Bathroom Pic

Pusha T revealed that West had made the decision in an interview with radio host Angie Martinez. It's just a picture that to license it worldwide is 85 grand.

To hear Pusha tell it, he had an album in the bag, relatively recently, when Kanye decided they'd go to Wyoming and make something together from scratch, with Kanye essentially handling all the production himself. "'I'mma pay for that'".

Pusha T told the publication that the image "definitely does match the energy of my album".

One Twitter user, Laurie Crosswell said: "Kanye West paying to use the photo of Whitney Houston's bathroom is beyond disgusting and disrespectful".

This isn't the first time Yeezy has been doing some free thinking doing album artwork.

West tweeted a picture of the album's cover on Thursday.

But West had a change of heart and allegedly paid $85,000 out of his own pocket to secure the rights to a 2006 photo of Whitney Houston's bathroom, according to Hip-Hop-N-More. While "My Name Is My Name" was a great album, this is a masterclass in design: in contrast to the 20+ track albums of this streaming era, Kanye's ruthless editing ensures every song, every bar and every sample have objective.
