Showers and thunderstorms will usher in cooler weather following a warm and sunny Tuesday across south-central Wisconsin, according to forecasters.

Today, the region is expected to see temperatures a few degrees higher than yesterday, in line with a modest warming trend. Mild tonight with lows in the 40's and 50's. Temperatures will dip toward 60°.

Tomorrow and Wednesday will likely bring gorgeous weather.

Highs quickly warm into the mid 70s today with light winds S 5-10 miles per hour under mostly sunny skies most of the day. Partly sunny, with a high near 74. The humidity will remain comfortably low both Tuesday and Wednesday. Expect highs in the mid-80s, under partly cloudy skies. By afternoon, the front will clear.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1pm.

Saturday will be unsettled.

The risk for a showers or thunderstorms will stick around early Thursday. Friday will feature dry weather with increasing clouds and breezy conditions. The humidity will increase noticeably by late in the day.
