Rockets set to host Warriors in Western Conference Finals

This one is going to be a tough, uphill battle but you know the series victor is likely a heavy favorite in the NBA Finals.

The series price grew to Golden State -190 in the first two hours after it had posted. And Chris Paul himself has lost 13 of his past 15 games against the Warriors. Every team gets frustrated with Harden's free-throw attempt numbers, so the onus will be on Green and, to a lesser extent, Durant to limit him. Before Durant arrived, Paul's Clippers outlasted Golden State in seven games during the 2014 first round. Golden State has to rediscover their perimeter shooting: after hitting 39.1 percent of their three point attempts in the regular season, they're down to 32.9 percent in the playoffs.

Mitchell, his left foot still in a walking boot after Utah was eliminated in the second round at the hands of the Houston Rockets, said he'll travel to Europe with teammate Ekpe Udoh to attend the EuroLeague final four in Belgrade, Serbia, this summer.

The Rockets had earlier booked their place in the Conference Finals with a 112-102 win over the Utah Jazz to also take their series 4-1. "We know they are ready, and we'll be ready for them".

With Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala in the starting lineup, the Warriors have two players who can match up pretty well with the Rockets' pair of guards.

There will be a ton of Hall of Fame talent on the floor when the Warriors and Rockets face off to determine which team will represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals. We've got eight more wins to get.

Mitchell said he's targeting improving making tougher shots that weren't part of "his game" during the series, adding that his efficiency on defense must make a leap, too.

"That was so long ago", Warriors forward Kevin Durant said.

Per, via SLAM Online's Jesse Lawrence, the average ticket price of $965 is the highest for a conference finals since the site began tracking data in 2011. But that Houston is even given a credible chance of doing so is an acknowledgment of how great the Rockets are, and how much fun this series could be.

Both teams are healthy for this one, which is something that didn't always happen in the regular season.

Five months later, this clash of titans has finally arrived.

"We won two championships in three years", Green said. "We're not about to run off talking about how bad we want to play somebody", Green said, via ESPN.

Then again, the way Houston's offense has been going lately it doesn't seem to matter who is batting or where. The right-hander recorded nine consecutive outs via strikeout between the second and fifth innings, ending with a pickoff of Gregor Blanco at first for the final out in the fifth.

It's all we've been asking for.
