LeBron James puts on a show against the Raptors in Game 2

Smith and Love pulled the Cavs within a point, 27-26, a minute later, but DeRozan completed a thunderous dunk to give Toronto a three-point lead at the end of the period.

Love got it going early - eclipsing his Game 1 scoring total of seven points in the first quarter alone when he posted 10 points in the opening frame in Game 2 - and only continued from there.

It was a fairly close first half where the Raptors were the better team but the Cavaliers hung around. That's Cleveland's best two players combining to go 30-49 from the floor for 74 points. It's safe to say the start of the second half did not go the way the Raptors would've liked.

"The last two years, (Valanciunas has) improved tremendously from an offensive standpoint". I worry about this present Raptors team that we're facing, and they're the No. 1 team in the East for a reason.

Love, meanwhile, didn't enter this series with much interest in playing as a big guy.

While that happened, the Cavaliers tightened their defense in the paint, taking away some of the easy buckets Toronto was getting in the first 24 minutes. The Raptors had a great first half.

The Toronto Raptors got run off their home court by the Cleveland Cavaliers so badly in Game 2 that ESPN play-by-play announcer Mark Jones dubbed the city "LeBronto" to reflect just how badly LeBron James owns the team.

By midway through the second quarter, Love had found his range and rhythm.

During Raptors star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan's postgame press conference with members of the media and fellow All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry at his side, he said that there is still plenty of series left for the Raptors to muster a comeback.

Game 3 is Saturday with Game 4 Monday in Cleveland, and a Game 5 if necessary would be back in Toronto on Wednesday.

If there was any confidence to begin with, it was mostly gone minutes into the third quarter when James and company put on a spurt the Raptors had no answer for.

Considering James and the Cavaliers have run off eight consecutive playoff victories over the Raptors, one could argue Toronto is shook.

Cleveland has won eight straight playoff games against the Raptors but James made it clear the team will keep its foot on the accelerator.

The 33-year-old James was muted in his post-game media session, sharing the kudos with his teammates.

Five Cavs scored in double figures in Game 1, and five scored at least 10 on Thursday.

All-game long the Cavaliers seemed to get whatever shot they wanted - and what they wanted early was to get Kevin Love going.
