De Bruyne has registered a league-best 12 assists for City, while also scoring seven times.

Kane and Sane are also nominated for the Young Player of the Year award - along with Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon, the first player from outside the top flight to ever be nominated.

Salah has plundered a sensational 39 goals in just 44 appearances since his summer switch from Roma, while De Bruyne has wowed fans with his scintillating and consistent displays for Pep Guardiola's Premier League leaders this term.

Sane and Kane are also on the shortlist for the Young Player of the Year award.

The Spain playmaker has eight goals and 11 assists to his name in a City team which has dominated the competition this year.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has been given the nod after yet another fantastic season in betwen the posts at Old Trafford.

The North Lonodners are nearly assured of a top-four spot and Kane's 25 goals have played a key role in that.

Ederson has been impressive for Manchester City in the Premier League which has earned him a nomination for the Young Player of the Year, the Brazilian shot stopper has 14 clean sheets.

The victor will be announced at the PFA's annual awards ceremony in London on Sunday, 22 April. So having never played a single second of Premier League football, its impressive that he could even be considered, never mind make the shortlist.

Sane, 22, has been nominated in both Player and Young Player of the Year categories as has Kane, a victor in 2015.

Ederson's teammates Raheem Sterling has a total of 16 league goal and has also contributed eight assists.
