Michael Cohen is barely even a lawyer

Before the adjournment, lawyers for Trump and Cohen told a federal judge in NY that they believe some of the documents and devices seized from Cohen during an FBI raid are protected by attorney-client privilege, and they want a chance to review the material before prosecutors get to examine them.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan are investigating whether any crimes were committed as part of an effort by Cohen to squelch damaging stories about Trump when Trump was a presidential candidate, according to a person familiar with the matter. Her impatience at their failure to do so was palpable by late afternoon.

A federal prosecutor's office says there will be a hearing Friday to address a temporary restraining order sought by Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen.

As his lawyers went to court in NY on Friday to try to block prosecutors from reading files that were seized from the personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, this week, Mr. Trump found himself increasingly isolated in mounting a response.

Avenatti spoke outside the court at Friday's hearing and then followed with a suggestive tweet that "the weather forecast for Monday looks very Stormy".

Wood said the intervention of a court or special master in the process was not unprecedented, citing the prosecution of Lynne Stewart, a radical Manhattan lawyer who was charged with smuggling communications out of prison for one of her clients.

Cohen denied that he'd ever been to Prague "in my life" after the dossier's publication, tweeting a photo of his passport.

If that story sounds far-fetched to even a casual observer, the Federal Bureau of Investigation appears to agree: the agency's raid on Cohen was carried out in part to seize documents related to the Daniels payment.

"We have not spoken since that time", Mr Broidy said in the statement.

A source familiar with the situation said Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel has accepted Mr Broidy's resignation.

She added that she was anxious about the "appearance of fairness", given the stakes. Daniels opposes the request; her response to Friday evening's request is due by 6 p.m. PT Monday.

Wood ultimately demanded that Cohen's lawyers return Monday with the list of other clients - and Cohen. The woman's name has not been made public and the source declined to disclose it.

Another lawyer also sought to make his case: Clifford's attorney Michael Avenatti. But lately, the lawyer has been facing the real price of client loyalty. Although Cohen was not technically required to be there, a judge seemed upset that he didn't appear.

Searches of lawyers' offices are rare but not unheard of, and prosecutors use what is called a separate "taint team" to review the material and exclude any documents that are covered by the attorney-client privilege.

Above what Federal Bureau of Investigation agents seized from Cohen uncertainty will come in to if his campaign colluded together with Russian Federation since Trump confronts an intensifying stunt by unique Counsel Robert Mueller.
