Trump Attacks Iranian Government in Nowruz Holiday Message

"In the event that the United States of America withdraws from the arrangement, then the nuclear deal or even talks will definitely be finished", Araqchi pointed out, as mentioning by a statement released from Mehr News organisation on Saturday.

"Ordinary Iranians struggle economically and find it hard to celebrate holidays like Nowruz", Trump said before adding: "may light prevail over darkness in this New Year and may the Iranian people enjoy a new day of peace, prosperity and joy".

In one of the most glaring splits with his outgoing top diplomat, Trump has threatened to withdraw from the nuclear accord unless Washington's negotiating partners in Europe agree to stricter enforcement terms. "A sentiment that is particularly meaningful for so many Iranians who have come to our country in recent decades to make a new start in a free land".

Without mentioning Trump by name, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif appeared to tweet a response to the President's comments Tuesday. It said they must agree to "fix the awful flaws of the Iran nuclear deal" - which was sealed under his predecessor Barack Obama - or he would refuse to extend USA sanctions relief on Iran. He said those issues must be expressed in worldwide decisions and lead to more pressure on Iran.

In January, the president informed his European counterparts that unless the flaws in the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran and the world powers are fixed, he will not extend the existing waivers for sanctions relief that expire May 12.

"In case some European countries are following steps to put non-nuclear sanctions against Iran in order to please the American president, they will be making a big mistake and they will see the direct result of that on the nuclear deal", Abbas Araqchi said, according to state media.

But this year, Mr. Trump said of Iran, "deceit has become official state policy".

Britain, France and Germany have proposed new European Union sanctions on Iran over its missile program and its regional role, a confidential document said on Friday, Reuters reported.

She made the remarks on arrival at a meeting of foreign ministers of 28 European Union member states.

"But we must not exclude [from consideration] Iran's responsibility in the proliferation of ballistic missiles and in its very questionable role in the Near and Middle East", he said.

They said Sadr took steps as part of the project to evade USA economic sanctions by concealing the role of Iran and Iranian parties in payments sent through the US banking system.
