But on the most recent episode of ABC's reboot of the TV talent competition, some of the most awkward auditions were compiled into a montage, with one of them referencing a longtime feud one of the Idol judges has had with a rival singer.

Perry voided speaking of her feud with Swift as well as she could but when it comes to the past, she has been fairly vocal about the ongoing drama between them.

Despite having said on multiple occasions that she wanted to leave her feud with Taylor Swift in the past, Katy Perry couldn't resist taking a dig at the "Delicate" singer during the most recent instalment of "American Idol".

The moment in question occurred after an American Idol contestant wrapped up their performance when American Idol judge Luke Bryan posed a question to him, saying: "Who do you look up to as an artist?", People reports.

"I love Taylor Swift", the contestant added.

"I am ready to let it go", Perry said. Was she insinuating that she's a good songwriter, but a bad person?

"She did something so terrible", Swift told Rolling Stone.

"I wish that I could turn the other cheek every single time, but I'm also not a pushover, you know?" She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.

The two have been fighting back and forth ever since. Perry seemed flustered, though she did keep things cordial. Fans suspected that Taylor's Bad Blood video was aimed at Katy and that Katy's Swish Swish lyrics were about Taylor. "We've had our differences but I just continue to say, 'God bless her on her journey".
