Fortnite's Season 3 Battlepass will Take Players to Space

All told, Season 3 Battle Pass will feature 76 new items spread across 30 item tiers. The unveiling planned for next month will also allow fans their first chance to see the new play area.

Epic has showcased some of the content included in Fortnite's Season 3 Battle Pass.

You don't have to start playing to get some extra goodies if you buy the new Battle Pass; buying it will instantly unlock the new Mission Specialist outfit and a few other yet-to-be-revealed cosmetic items. Epic states that players will still take the same amount of time to complete them all though. You only need to unlock four out of seven challenges every week to unlock the weekly rewards.

Battle Passes typically offer several tears, which you can accelerate the progression of by outright buying them.

Also, the company reminded that Season 3 will commence on February 20 or right after Season 2 and in which there will be seven challenges to unlock and loads of rewards to win. Going through the normal process will take around 75 hours at the minimum and up to 150 hours, the actual span of time will be dictated by player's skill.

This iteration of the Battle Pass also differs from the last by adding exclusive weekly challenges, which gives players more opportunities to progress through their tiers at a faster rate. Epic Games says this is against the layout of the survival video game and should be prevented.

Season 3 ditches the medieval skins of the Red and Black Knights from Season 2 and instead launches us into space for the upcoming season. However, the additional tiers bring with them even more outfits, banners, and emoticons as well as all new items like Back Blings, new sky diving effects, and loading screens.

However, it's worth noting that most Fortnite updates require the game to go offline for server maintenance.

However, this release got pushed back by a day - meaning Fortnite season 3 will launch on the day Epic Games usually rolls out its updates.

If you hate this kind of pricing, remember that the game is entirely free. The third season of the game is the next big update that's expected, and it will introduce an entirely new way to play it: in space.

Developers also plan to experiment with larger team modes and games where players have less time between each circle.
