Trump Calls Oprah "Biased and Slanted" Over '60 Minutes' Voters Panel

Trump Calls Oprah

Oprah has never confirmed a presidential run in 2020, but her longtime partner Stedman Graham told the Los Angeles Times after her speech, "she would absolutely do it". "To mark President Trump's first year in office we made a decision to repeat the experiment".

On Sunday's edition of 60 Minutes, correspondent Oprah Winfrey reconvened a panel of 14 voters in Grand Rapids, Mich., to take their temperatures after a year under the leadership of President Trump. POTUS described her as "Very insecure" and said her latest interview was "Biased and slanted, the facts incorrect".

"Hope Orpah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others".

When Winfrey asked Trump in that interview whether he would ever pivot from real estate to politics, he said he would "never want to rule it out totally, because I really am exhausted of seeing what's happening with this country, how we're really making other people live like kings and we're not".

The voters interviewed kept in touch after their initial appearance via Facebook, continuing to discuss Trump and politics.

Winfrey made her first appearance on 60 Minutes in September, with a segment about US political divisions. "I think that when you have that many people whose opinions you value coming at you, it's worthy of thinking about".

The TV star asked the audience whether or not they would vote for Trump again, what they thought about his infamous "shithole countries" comment, and if Americans felt safer now that he was in office. Trump said in June 2015 when Stephanopoulos noted that the president told Larry King in 1999 that he'd consider making Winfrey his running mate.

Oprah (here in 2007) has insisted she will not be running for president in 2020. "I did one of her last shows ..." Me neither, because all Oprah said was 'I will take care of it.' And she did.

"I love Oprah. Oprah would always be my first choice", Trump said.

"I think if I was considering a run, it definitely would", she says. "I knew her very well", he added.

Given Trump's penchant for stirring outrage, Winfrey asked, "There have been some members of Congress, including Republicans, questioning his stability and fitness for office". If God wanted me to run, wouldn't God tell me?
