The latest Apple TV update brings a dedicated News section

It offers live feeds from a number of sources including CNN, CBS News, Fox News, Cheddar, Bloomberg, and others. The iPhone-maker expanded its TV application on iOS and tvOS.

To get the feature to work, you'll need the accompanying apps for the news providers listed.

In the Apple News app, there is a new section dedicated exclusively to the Olympics, within the "For You" tab, in the United States.

In addition to the new section on the TV app, Apple has also added Siri functionality that will allow users to access the live streams via voice commands. "The TV app shows you what to watch next and easily discover TV shows and movies from many apps in a single place". If the app hasn't been installed on your phone, tablet or Apple TV, you will be prompted to install it from the App Store.

Apple originally demoed this feature back in September when it unveiled the Apple TV 4K. The News feature now only includes US-based outlets, though this may change down the line. It appears to be live for users running the latest iOS 11.2.5 and tvOS 11.2.5 releases.

On the main "Watch Now" tab, if you scroll past your "Up Next" queue and the top recommendations, there's a new "News" section. It will also include a planner for people to figure out what is showing when, and let you add events you want to watch to your calendar.
