Charles Woodson to be inducted into College Football Hall of Fame

Dave Dickenson, who led the University of Montana to its first NCAA Division I-AA national championship in 1995, is among 13 players and coaches who will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame this year.

The announcement was made by the National Football Foundation on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown, which features Woodson as an analyst.

In addition, 75 FBS players, as well as 98 players and 31 coaches from the divisional ranks are included on the 2018 ballot. During his college career, the Huskers went 49-2 and were national champs in 1994, 1995 and 1997.

Beamer will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on December 4 in NY. The inductees will also be recognized at their respective collegiate institutions with NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salutes, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the fall.

That year, Reed helped guide Miami to a national championship with a 37-14 Rose Bowl victory over Nebraska.

The two-time first team All-American first earned consensus honors as a junior after making the switch to center at the beginning of the season. Taylor earned the 1997 Outland Trophy, given to the most outstanding interior lineman in the nation. He has a career record of 244-122.

The Wichitan was a seventh-round draft pick by Indianapolis in 1998 and retired from professional football after spending time with the Colts and the Chicago Bears that season.

A star in the National Football League with Oakland and Green Bay, Woodson will be the 31st MI player inducted into the Hall of Fame. Taylor has been named to the Sports Illustrated All-Century Team, Walter Camp All-Century Team, Nebraska All-Century Team and the Big 12 10th Anniversary Team.
