Terrorists storm into CRPF camp, two personnel injured

Militants attacked Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) personnel at its Group Training Centre (GTC) Lethpora area of Awantipora in southern Kashmir's Pulwama district during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Latest reports state that three terrorists were killed in the operation.

Meanwhile, the internet services have been slowed down.

Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti and two former CM and NC president and working president Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have condoled the death of CRPF personnel. Read Also: Jammu and Kashmir: Top Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist Noor Mohammad Tantray killed in encounter "All the attackers later entered inside the training centre of CRPF 185 battalion and engage the troops in a gun battle", the source said. And all the injured were evacuated to Army's 92 base hospital in Badamibagh, Srinagar for treatment.

According to emerging reports, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen hand suspected behind the attack. Later two others were also killed in addition to the one who suffered cardiac arrest. The militant and security forces are still fighting.

Senior security forces and police officers had already reached the spot to supervise the operation, they said.
