Darrelle Revis #24 of the New York Jets celebrates making a game saving interception in the closing minutes of regulation preserving a 31-27 win against the Buffalo Bills during their game on December 14, 2008 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

A source close to the deal told NFL Insider Ian Rapport that Revis agreed to a two-year deal that will pay him the league minimum.

UPDATE: can make above the minimumRevis this year due to incentives; in 2018 he is owed $10 million, but the team can cut him before next season so that the money doesn't become guaranteed.

Reid didn't rule out Revis playing this weekend because he knows defensive coordinator Bob Sutton's system from their time together with the Jets. Won't be much of a learning curve for Darrelle Revis.

The Chiefs, who have lost four of their last five games, have struggled mightily against the pass this season, allowing 253.8 yards per game (ranked 28th in the league).

The fact that coach Andy Reid, according to ESPN, thinks Revis will wind up starting, feels even more desperate. If they face the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Patriots in the playoffs, that will be a serious problem. He then played one year each for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots, with whom he won a Super Bowl, before returning to the Jets in 2015.
