In a heated customer retention and expansion battle in the Indian telecom market, Bharti Airtel has announced a new plan offering up to 300GB data.

Under the new data offer - Oppo phone users will get additional 100GB of 4G data, but then that's only if they have a Jio SIM. However, users can only make 250 minutes of calls per day and 1,000 minutes per week without incurring charges. The Rs 458 plan comes with 70 days of validity while Rs 509 plan comes with 84 days of validity. That means users will get internet connection at reduced speeds after exhausting the 1GB limit.

While this plan comes with 360 days validity, Airtel is also offering other combo plans with 180 days and 90 days validity at Rs. 1,999 and Rs. 999 respectively. Also, regardless of the possibility that a client exceeds the daily free data use, they will be charged by the administrator. Firstly, they have to look for the recharge option and get the recharge done of Rs 309 or of a higher amount.

"Unlimited all Local+STD Calls (non-commercial use), outgoing in National Roaming & SMS Free (100 SMS/Day), 300GB data for 360 days". Jio also has a Rs 399 plan with similar benefits and 70 day validity.

Handset brand OPPO on Monday tied up with Reliance Jio to offer 100 GB of additional 4G data to customers purchasing new OPPO devices. These include local, STD and roaming SMSes sent to mobile numbers of all telecom operators, Jio noted. On the other hand, under the Rs 509 plan it offers 2GB data per day with 100 SMS and unlimited calling. The plan offers unlimited local and STD calls along with 100 SMSes per day as well. The limit of the offer is 10 recharges while for the Oppo F1s, A33F, A37F, A37Fw, A57 and A71 users the additional 10GB data is available for 6 recharges.
