Tammy Abraham can cope with England demands, says Swansea's Clement

Abraham, who is on loan at Swansea, received his first call-up along with his Chelsea club-mate Ruben Loftus-Cheek, now on loan at Crystal Palace, and Liverpool defender Joe Gomez.

England host World Cup holders Germany on November 10 and Brazil four days later.

Another Chelsea loanee, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, has been gaining valuable experience under former Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace, and he too is called up for the first time.

He has scored four goals and provided 1 assist so far this season, to help his side sit just above the relegation zone.

Loftus-Cheek, 21, has played seven games for Palace, while 20-year-old Gomez has become Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's first-choice pick at right-back for Premier League games.

Liverpool duo Daniel Sturridge and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been left out along with Manchester United's Chris Smalling.

Returning to the global fold are Tottenham's Danny Rose and Manchester City's Fabian Delph, who had both been injured, as well as Manchester United duo Ashley Young and Phil Jones, and Leicester striker Jamie Vardy.

"If I am asking club managers to be fearless and pick young players, then I think I have got to do the same".

"What you do want to see is young players doing well, although we don't particularly want to see him doing well on Saturday. He's played very well for Manchester United".

Southgate said he resisted the temptation to experiment while World Cup qualification was still uncertain but, with a place at next summer's tournament now assured, he has shuffled his pack.

"There is no question in our mind about Jack Wilshere's ability and football brain and personality".
